I remember That
After learning all the different endings for 'this' you might be thinking ... what about 'that'? Time for some good news!

If you know '>this', you know '>that' ... because they are the same words for all genders and across all the cases.
- This/That woman - Ta kobieta
- This/That cat - Ten kot
- This/That town - To miasto
Whether you mean '>this' or '>that' is decided by the context of the situation.

So with 'that' taken care of it's time to pick up a new verb:
- I remember - Pamiętam
So how would you say:
- I remember that woman -
- I remember that supermarket -
- I remember that cat -
- I remember that town -
- I don't remember that town -

Tamten
Now there are words that some courses will tell you mean that. We get to them by adding 'tam' to the start of any form of 'this' - Tamta, tamten, tamto, tamtego, etc.
These words don't actually mean 'that' when used on their own, they mean something more like 'the other one'.
- Ta kobieta jest moją siostrą, tamta kobieta jest moją żoną
- Ten laptop jest nowy, tamten laptop jest stary
- To miasto jest dobre, tamto miasto jest złe
In other words 'Tam' starting forms of 'that' can only be used if we have something earlier to reference it against

Not this one!
If we don't say 'the thing' specifically 'Ten' and 'tamten' are understood as 'this one' and 'that one'.
- Not this one, that one - Nie to, tamto
- This chemist/drug store, not that one - Ta apteka, nie tamta
So how would you say:
- Not this supermarket, that one -
- Not this station, that one -
- Not this wine, that one -
- This bus, not that one -
- I remember this report but not that one -
Note on this last sentence we move into the genetive because something is missing - we don't remember.
