Polish Grammar - English words ending 'sion'
We can expand our vocab even further with yet another transfer rule. This time it's for English words that end 'sion'!
We can transfer English words ending 'sion' into Polish the following way
- Take the English word - Television
- Remove the 'sion' or 'ssion' - Televi
- Replace it with 'zja' - Telewizja -
Note this rule is only when the English word ending sounds like 'zion'. If the sounding is more 's' like (e.g. Passion) we'll use 'sja' - Pasja -

You've probably spotted, again, that all these words end in a ... so they are all feminine nouns.
