Learn Polish - I think / You think'
Saying what you think is the first step in being able to express yourself in Polish ... and its easier than ... you think!
- I think, [that] ... - Myślę, że ...
Note:
- The s with the accent gives us a 'sh' sound.
- We always say 'that' (że)
Try saying a few phrases you know out loud but adding Myślę, że ... - for example, 'Myślę, że to jest fantastyczny hotel'
- You think, [that] ... - Myślisz, że ...
- Do you think, [that] ... - Czy myślisz, że ...
Try asking a few 'Do you think that...' questions out loud - for example, 'Czy myślisz, że to jest fantastyczny hotel?'
Some things to remember
- Both the s with an accent (ś) and 'sz' give us a 'sh' sound.
- In English the word 'that' is optional, in Polish 'że' must be said.
- The comma after 'Myślę' and 'Myślisz' is important, your written Polish will not be correct without it.
