Learn Polish - What do you think?
Asking people what they think is a great way to start communicating. We'll also learn the useful phrases 'I think so' and 'I think not'
- What do you think? - Co myślisz?
Literally this is 'What you think?' .. so now you also know the Polish for 'what'
The following two phrases are very common usage of the 'to think' verb.
- I think so - Myślę, że tak
- I think not - Myślę, że nie
The you form, most often used as a question, is:
- You think not? - Myślisz, że nie?
- You think so? - Tak myślisz?
Tak myślisz? has a slightly wider usage. It can also mean 'Is that how you are thinking?' to reflect more deeper long term thought rather than just an opinion about something which is happening right now.
