w weekend

We have already seen 'w':

• mieszkam w polsce -> I live in Poland

Here 'w' means literally 'in'.

In Polish we say 'What are you doing in the weekend?' so think of the weekend as this box of time that you do things in.

• Co robisz w weekend? -> What are you doing in the weekend?

Later we'll see this also applies to other times like days of the week where we say 'In Saturday I am going to the theatre'

So it is a good idea to start picturing periods of time (days, months, the weekend) as boxes of time that we do things in.
