Good to know - This

We've seen how the gender of a noun can affect the describing word (adjective):

• To jest dobry film
• To jest dobra książka

The gender also affects 'this':

• Ten film - This film (Masculine)
• Ta książka - This book (Feminine)
• To mleko - This milk (Neuter)

Once again we see the 'a connection with feminine in the 'Ta' of 'Ta książka'.

The 'o in the 'to' of 'to mleko' also matches the 'o' ending of many neuter nouns.

These are all handy connections to help us remember which 'this' we need to use.
