So we now have:
- Nowy - New
- Nowszy - Newer
- Najnowszy - Newest
We will see this pattern of adding 'szy' to the end and 'naj' to the front throughout the Polish language. For example:
- Młody - Young
- Młodszy - Younger
- Najmłodszy - Youngest
- Słaby - Weak
- Słabszy - Weakerer
- Najsłabszy - Weakest
Listen out for the characteristic 'szy' and 'naj' sounds when you hear people using adjectives you already know but they are changing them to mean 'more' and 'the most'.
