In the last chat Robert asked 'Tak myślisz?'

We're already very familiar with 'Tak' as meaning 'Yes' but it also takes on other meanings when used in different ways.

In front of a verb it means 'That' or 'Like that'.

Below are literal translations to help understand the word ordering:

• Tak myślisz? - Like that you are thinking?
• Tak robisz? - Like that you are doing it?
• Tak szukasz? - Like that you are searching?

Formally we would say:

• Czy tak Pan myśli - Like that Sir is thinking?

We'll see this use of 'Tak' a lot more in the future but the above are great, commonly used phrases, often to express surprise.
