lp101 cat Chcę iść

In Polish 'chcę iść' can mean both

Let's say you were at a party with a friend and you were not enjoying yourself. You might say to your friend 'Chcę iść'.

There is a Polish verb for 'to leave' (which we will come to!) but in the context of wanting to leave a place you don't like you would use 'chcę iść'.

Iść

'Iść' means 'to go' (or in some cases 'to leave') by foot.

There is a separate verb for 'to go' by transport - bicyle, car, tram, etc.

We'll cover this other verb later. For the moment you can use 'iść' for all situations and everyone will understand you.
