Describing Males/Females

We have already touched on the concept that if the word for a thing (noun) ends in 'a' we change the ending of the describing word (Adjective)

• Dobry film - A good film
• Dobra ksiązka - A good book

We also change the endings of words which describe people depending on the gender of the person

• Jestem kreatywny - A male speaking
• Jestem kreatywna - A female speaking

This rule also applies when we are talking to someone:

• Czy jesteś kreatywny? - talking to a male
• Czy jesteś kreatywna? - talking to a female

We'll see the connection between 'y' and 'male' and the connection between 'a' and 'female' come up over and over again in the Polish language so now is a good time to get comfortable with it!
