The negative case - lacking

We have described the Genetive Case as 'after using a verb negatively'

• Nie lubię
• Nie mam
• Czy nie wolisz?
• etc.

A more accurate way to think of it is 'after a verb when something is lacking or missing'.

So if we don't have something it is lacking or missing.

If we don't like something our like is lacking or missing.

But also if we are looking for something that means we don't have it so it is lacking or missing.
