Animate This

Previously we explored a group of nouns known as masculine animate - things which can move around on their own - physically or virtually

• Lekarz - doctor
• Kot - Cat
• Smartfon - Smartphone
• etc.

These noun endings were the same in both the Animate and Genetive cases - we added an 'a' to the end.

• Mam kota - I have a cat
• Nie mam kota - I don't have a cat

'This' is also the same in Animate and Genetive cases

• Ten kot - This cat
• Znam tego kota - I know this cat
• Nie znam tego kota - I don't know this cat
